Youth Speaks Seattle Grand Slam Finals Features WITS Students

Seattle is lucky to have many great organizations that do good work with young people. One of these organizations, Youth Speaks, will be hosting the Youth Speaks Seattle’s 2010 Grand Slam Finals on March 19th at the Moore Theatre. Twelve youth finalists aged 13-19 will compete for a chance to represent all of Seattle at the 2010 Brave New Voices International Youth Poetry Slam Festival held this summer in Los Angeles–and three of these finalists are former WITS students! Garfield’s Troy Osaki and Franklin’s Fletcher Bailey both got their start through Aaron Counts work with WITS, and Claire Joko-Fujimoto is a current Center School student with WITS writer-in-residence Matt Gano.

Admission is $10 for Youth and $15 for 21+ when you order tickets in advance or $15 for Youth and $20 for 21+ at the door.
